My Vacation Latin Style

Tourists always look for new worlds to explore. There are certain time-tested locations that renowned for holiday vacations – Switzerland and Hawaii, which are the eternal favorites of international tourists. But still, as the number of regular international tourists, that is, those who opt for global locations for annual holiday vacations, increases, the need for new additions to the world tourism map is ever growing. It is a simple market phenomenon involving demand and supply. As a result, over the last decade, new destinations have become popular, particularly in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Among these, the vacation Latin style stands out for its unique blend of natural splendor and colorful festivals.

Amazon, the Ideal Location for Latin Vacations

Previous to the tourism boom, the continent of South America was known for its world-beating footballers like Pele and Maradona and extra-ordinary writers like Neruda and Marquez. In fact, their works of fiction created a sense of exoticism about Latin culture, just like the skills of footballers created a soft spot for the continent among sports lovers. Once tourism began to develop, the waterfalls, rain forests, and the wild life on the banks of Amazon became ideal locations for Latin vacations.

The Special Holiday Vacations of South America

The major countries in the continent are Brazil and Argentina. But all the countries in South America offer special holiday vacation choices, because almost all countries have some sort of unique attraction. Brazil is famous for the colorful festival of Rio de Janeiro and the Zamba music. While in Argentina, one can notice significant European influence in terms of culture and architecture. Its capital Buenos Aires is often described as the Paris of South America. These two countries share a stunning array of waterfalls known as Iguaçau Falls, which is an ideal location for holiday vacations with Latin flavor.

Relaxed Holiday Vacations

Other countries like Peru, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, and Venezuela have their own sets of resorts, national parks, and mountain ranges, which are suitable for a relaxed holiday vacation. It is often said that people in these countries are in a perpetual state of relaxed mindset and they enjoy their life amidst the many kinds of stresses life throws up. Most of these countries, except for Venezuela, which has large oil reserves and hence a booming economy, are not among the economic and industrial powerhouses in the world. As it turns out, the low degree of industrialization has helped these countries to retain their natural beauty and the old world charm intact. These qualities are what make tourists repeatedly opt for vacation Latin style.

The Andes Mountain Range and the Amazon River

The two natural entities that define the geographical aspects of several countries in the South American continent are the Andes Mountain range and the Amazon River. The hill stations in the Andes and rain forests and national parks on the banks of Amazon are quite popular as holiday vacation spots. Among other countries, Bolivia is a high-altitude country, with chilly weather and a number of hill stations. Costa Rica is famous for its famous eco tourism spots. Amidst the various unique geographical attractions in each country, the free flowing spirit of the people and the culture is the common thread that runs through all the countries in the continent, which also makes the Latin vacations memorable.
